Salon Fixer is different in many ways. The first is that we focus on business and inspiration rather than cutting or coloring. The next difference is that we accept NO advertising and are NOT affiliated with any product company (Cory does consult with and speak for product companies but this website is the “Switzerland of hair care” and endorses no products). No. Salon Fixer is committed to its focus on the business and inspirational aspects of salons and stylists. We’re experts in growing and building your business and clientele. And while some of the salons featured will discuss their hairdressing philosophy as it relates to their business, these will never be considered “tips” for cutting or styling.

Are advertisements accepted?

Never. It’s important to us that we have the ability to bring you stories of salons and stylists no matter the products on their shelves, tools in their hands, or where they have received their education or training.

Is the Salon Fixer affiliated with any manufacturer?

Not at all. Any products you may see in a salon during our interviews are simply the products that were in the salon on that day. We do not promote or discourage the use of any products or manufacturers.

What is the inspiration behind Salon Fixer?

The inspiration comes from our founder, Cory Couts. Where does the name Salon Fixer come from?

The nickname Salon Fixer was given to Cory by one of his friends in the business. Because Cory can walk into a salon and quickly tell you a half dozen things to do or change he was compared to “the fixer” from the movie “Pulp Fiction.” The nickname just stuck.
